Ms. Marvel: Fawad Khan’s MCU Debut Breaks the Internet

The most recent episode of Ms. Marvel has been out, and the internet is ablaze with praise for the magnificent yet emotionally rewarding chapter.

The episode is undoubtedly the greatest one yet thanks to the work of writer Fatimah Asghar and director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.

After making a brief appearance in the previous episode of Ms. Marvel, the Marvel Studios web series that is currently being aired, Fawad Khan played a significant role in episode five. And the heartthrob made quite an impression, much to the delight of both his Indian and Pakistani fans.

On Wednesday, Disney+ Hotstar launched a promo with him and his co-star Mehwish Hayat in an effort to capitalize on the current Fawad fanbase. They appear in pretty much the entire episode and play Kamala Khan’s great grandparents. Mehwish portrays Aisha, the woman Kamala receives the supernatural bangle from, and Fawad portrays Hasan, a Muslim freedom fighter in British-occupied India with aspirations of a sovereign state.

The most recent Ms. Marvel episode starts up where the fourth episode left off when Kamala Khan was whisked to 1947’s partition of India. The aforementioned episode also gives us a look at Hassan and Aisha’s past. Following their chance encounter, the couple ended up falling in love and being married. The two then welcome Sana, a baby daughter, and also Kamala Khan’s Nani. The dramatic past is explored in Episode 5, which is unquestionably generating just the proper amount of momentum for the finale.

The internet was thrilled to see Mehwish and Fawad sharing the screen for the first time ever, in addition to the fact that Fawad had returned to acting after a six-year absence. The on-screen couple had fantastic chemistry, so it’s not surprising that they won over the viewers.

Netizens took to Twitter to gush about the episode. Twitter user @filmkirbys tweeted that the most beautiful couple to have appeared on the MCU thus far is Mehwish Hayat and Fawad Khan.

Another Twitter user @MarvelUpdatesPK tweeted that in Ms. Marvel Episode 5, Fawad Khan did an outstanding job portraying the struggle for independence from the British and the agony in his eyes when speaking to Muslims.

Twitter user @ahk_speaks tweeted that the South Asian/Muslim love stories are incredibly uncommon in Hollywood and western media.  He enjoyed Mehwish Hayat and Fawad Khan’s on-screen romance and chemistry in Ms. Marvel, a Hollywood production rather than a Pakistani drama.

Fawad has received favorable reviews ever since he showed up in a character that fans adored, identical to how he was depicted in well-known TV programs like Hamsafar and Zindagi Gulzar Hai. Many Indian viewers missed seeing him in Bollywood, and social media has been ablaze with their responses.
