Someone Mailed Feces to Ohio State Republican Senators

The Columbus Dispatch reported that on Thursday morning, feces-filled envelopes were sent to each of the 25 Republican members of the Ohio State Senate.

The Dispatch reported that the items had come from a post office in Cleveland. Before the politicians ever received the envelopes, Cleveland, Akron, and Columbus post offices seized them all. The US Postal Inspection Service told VICE News on Friday that it was looking into the matter.

A representative stated that the U.S. Postal Inspection Service is committed to protecting Postal Service personnel and customers and ensuring the integrity of the mail as the law enforcement and security arm of the postal service. The Postal Inspection Service is looking at the events. This is the most information they could offer at the time.

When a reporter questioned a representative of the Senate Republican caucus on Thursday about whether the poop was from a human or an animal, the representative responded that they were presuming human.

John Fortney, the spokesperson, told Cincinnati’s ABC 9 that he was very unhappy about it. These are a group of tiny cowards that would rather write you hate letters than say anything to you face to face because they are too afraid.

State Senator Jay Hottinger, one of the intended recipients, told the Dispatch that it was gross and foolish, childishness at its highest degree. At least one senator told reporters on Thursday that she thinks the poopy parcels are related to the recent Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization ruling by the Supreme Court, which abolished the legal right to an abortion.

Following a law approved in 2019, the decision effectively made abortion illegal in Ohio in all circumstances other than saving the mother’s life. The Indianpolis Star reported last week that a 10-year-old girl who had been sexually assaulted was recently compelled to fly to Indiana in order to receive an abortion.

Ohio, a formerly swing state that former President Barack Obama won twice, has moved sharply to the right recently. In an interview with a Catholic radio show last year, the GOP candidate for the U.S. Senate, J.D. Vance, stated that there was something akin between abortion and slavery.

During the radio interview, Vance stated that he genuinely thinks abortion has really done something extremely socially harmful to us as humans and is how we see the most vulnerable and most dependent among us. That, in his opinion, is one of the overlooked aspects of abortion. The entire civilization has been severely affected by it.
