Trailer of House of Dragon prequel of Game of Thrones finally got a release date this year.
The nearly two-minute clip debuted on YouTube on May 5 and included action sequences and dragons that would play a key role in the new series. It also highlighted the power struggle between the Targaryens and the return of the iron throne.

The original sound soundtrack from the previous season was played discreetly over the dialogues in the teaser in the trailer. It even included a few lines from the Game of Thrones House Targaryen theme tune.
The series takes place 200 years before the events depicted in HBO’s biggest blockbuster, the original series. The new series is authored by George R.R. Martin and co-creators Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik and is based on his book Fire & Blood.
Paddy Considine (Peaky Blinders) plays King Viserys Targaryen, Olivia Cooke plays Alicent Hightower, Emma D’Arcy plays Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, and Matt Smith plays Prince Daemon Targaryen in the new season.
Despite releasing an official trailer last October, the TV network is calling the latest clip a teaser trailer. However, the most recent video is longer. The show will premiere on August 21, according to the trailer. The Game of Thrones prequel isn’t the only item that the channel has opted to screen shortly, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

HBO has a number of additional projects in the works for the Game of Thrones franchise, including one set in Westeros.
The show will compete with another fantasy première, Amazon’s big-budget The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which will screen 12 days after House of the Dragon.
