Fourth-Graders would Now have to memorize Biography of Sarfaraz Ahmed

The fourth Urdu textbook now includes a biography of wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed.

The story of Sarfaraz, who motivated Pakistan to victory in the 2017 Champions Trophy, will be told to elementary school students. The cricket player’s wife Khushbakht enthusiastically announced the news on Twitter by posting a picture of a fourth-grade Urdu book. She stated that she was thrilled by just imagining her children, their classmates, and their teacher reading about their father and she could not be any happier.

Sarfaraz is recognized as one of Pakistan’s finest cricketing captains. He had won the Champions Trophy and the U19 Cricket World Cup in 2006. Along with Sarfaraz, the biography of Naseem Hameed, a renowned female sprinter from Pakistan, is now included in the textbook for the course. According to the former captain, it was a tremendous honor for him. He stated in a post on Instagram that he was grateful and it was a great honor for him. They try to motivate children by serving as a positive role model. He would always contribute what he could to their initiatives.

In a video statement posted to social media, the batsman also thanked the Sindh province government for recognizing him. Sarfaraz Ahmed is credited with leading the Pakistan cricket team to the nation’s first-ever victories over India in the Champion Trophy in 2007. He is not currently a member of any version of the Pakistan Cricket Team.

In 2006, he helped Pakistan win the Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

Sarfaraz Ahmed has recently been the target of intense pressure and criticism from Pakistani cricket fans for his poor play in the games. As a result, he was removed from the starting lineup. When pictures of him bringing beverages to young players on the field went viral on social media, he received support from cricket fans. Fans urged the team’s management to treat Sarfaraz Ahmed with respect, despite his difficult playing days.

Babar Azam claimed earlier this year that when he finds himself in a challenging situation as captain, he turns to Sarfaraz Ahmed for counsel. At a luncheon held by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to recognize the players for their exceptional performance in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, he shared these opinions. The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore served as the venue for the ceremony.

Netizens took to Twitter to share their thoughts. Twitter user @rifa_syeda tweeted that she is pleased to inform us that her father, Dr. Shah Anjum, is a member of the review committee for this book. He suggested emphasizing sports, particularly cricket. She helped him with the ‘thank you’ chapter because she loves cricket so much.

Another Twitter user @Muhamma48196652 tweeted that it is highly deserving. After Pakistan had a wicketkeeper like Kamran Akmal, Sarfaraz was the game changer, and in his opinion, he is the reason why Pakistani cricket has changed.
