Despite Pakistan’s emerging victorious after the recently finished Twenty20 International series against Bangladesh, the latter did not hand over the trophy to the Green Shirts.
As per some sources, Pakistan cricket team was left startled after they were not given the winning trophy despite clinching the series.
But, clearing the air, a spokesman of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) told the Pakistan team officials that they would give the trophy after the conclusion of the Test series.
He went on to say that the officials of the board and sponsors were not part of the bio-secure bubble, hence, the trophy handing over ceremony could not happen as per the coronavirus protocols.
In the final and third T20 match, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by five wickets to finish a 3-0 sweep in a three-match series in Dhaka.
