The Sindh government is no longer issuing yellow license plates for vehicles.
According to information provided by Deputy Director Admin Sindh Excise and Taxes department Zia Shah, the issuance of yellow license plates has been discontinued, and instead, new license plates with the security feature are being issued to the owners of motor vehicles.
Over 250,000 replacement number plates have been given to vehicle owners, and the stock of yellow license plates has been relocated to the department’s godown, Shah continued.
As the procedure is moving along without delay, he urged the public to obtain their new license plates within three days. New yellow license plates are also available within three days for anyone who wants to replace their old ones.

It should be mentioned that the Sindh government began providing vehicles with retroreflective license plates in 2020. The change came about as a result of the Sindh cabinet’s acceptance of the use of enhanced security measures on automobile license plates.
