Changan’s affordable Mini Electric Car winning hearts

Changan Lumin Corn has grabbed the interest of many fans all over the world, including those in Pakistan.

In its home market, the manufacturer has unveiled the much-anticipated small electric vehicle (EV).

Changan and CATL collaborated on the development of Lumin Corn, a battery-electric city automobile. The tiny EV competes with the Wuling Honguang Mini EV, Chery QQ Ice Cream, and other similar cars under Changan’s Avatr Technology Marque.

The Lumin Corn will be available in two versions, each with 12.92 kWh and 17.65 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries that deliver 155 and 210 kilometres of range, respectively.

Later on, the EV will have a top-tier option with a 27.99 kWh battery that will provide a range of up to 301 kilometres.

The base and mid-tier models will generate 41 horsepower (hp), while the top-tier model will generate 48 hp. Lumin Corn has more power and a longer range than Wuling Mini EV on paper.

Lumin Corn has a variety of interesting and useful characteristics. It has a 10.25-inch floating touch screen with navigation, phone, audio, radio, and self-driving capabilities.

The features include hazard lights, an engine start/stop button, climate control, a USB connector, and a 12-volt plug.

It has an all-digital driver’s display that shows the vehicle’s range, speed, battery charge, and rate of energy use. The centre console houses window controls, a gear selection dial, and a drive mode selector.
