172 Illegal Pakistani Nationals Deported by Türkiye

172 Pakistanis were detained by Turkish police from entering the nation illegally.

The officials added that the illegal immigrants from Pakistan entered Türkiye to travel to other European nations. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have received a letter about unlawful immigration from the Deputy General Counsel of Istanbul. On October 10, the deportees would arrive in Pakistan. 140 Pakistanis were expelled from Saudi Arabia on Saturday due to their alleged involvement in criminal and unlawful activities.

The passengers reportedly arrived in Saudi Arabia, but the immigration authorities did not permit them to leave after learning that they were allegedly engaged in unlawful operations. The travelers were then deported and flown by a Saudi Airlines flight back to Multan International Airport. Later, the passengers demonstrated against the deportation and argued angrily with Multan airport staff members. They urged the administration to pay attention to the situation.

When Turkey was confronted with information about Pakistani nationals acting illegally while seeking asylum in the country in June 2022, the truth of bilateral relations was recently revealed at the level of people-to-people relationships. Turkish officials have recently detained several Pakistani illegal immigrants for their involvement in the kidnapping, gang battles, and other unlawful offenses. Reports from Western intelligence services, who are aware that Pakistani citizens are engaged in such actions not only in Turkey but also in other nations, have increased awareness of the matter.

From Turkey to Türkiye: UN okays Ankara’s request to change name

In search of a better life in Europe, illegal immigrants travel from Iran to Turkey. Between 3,000 and 6,000 undocumented Pakistani nationals are reportedly detained by Turkish officials at any given time, while many others remain in Turkey until they can find a means to travel to Europe. Turkish authorities claim that illegal immigration from Pakistan has significantly increased over the past four years. This surge has led to widespread discontent in Turkey, which is already struggling to accommodate the influx of Syrian and Afghani refugees. Migration to Turkey has historically been accepted from a variety of nations, including Syria and Xinjiang in China.

However, there have been some more serious issues with new immigration from Pakistan. Following allegations of misbehavior and misconduct toward local social behavior in some districts of Istanbul, a surge of anti-Pakistani sentiments emerged on social media platforms last April, with the popular hashtag “Pakistan Get Out.” According to intelligence assessments, illegal Pakistani immigrants have also been discovered engaging in gang warfare and other illicit activities, including trafficking in human beings and drugs and kidnapping foreign tourists in Turkey for ransom.
