In a tragic turn of events, Hamza Rauf, the beloved youth anchor and host of the popular program ‘Hamza Nama’ on Geo News, passed away due to a heart attack.
Hamza had been suffering from a heart condition for a long time, but had continued to work tirelessly and provide quality content to his audience.
Hamza was the only son of the renowned journalist and former director Abdul Rauf, and was known for his innocent yet thought-provoking interviews with prominent religious scholars. Hamza’s funeral prayer was held in Lahore Cantt, where several social and political figures from the media industry paid their respects. He was later laid to rest at the local graveyard in Lahore.
