While still a college student, Hazim Bangwar, the assistant commissioner for North Nazimabad, used to write songs and sell them to major record labels and Hollywood musicians to make some money.
He acknowledged that, among others, he has collaborated with Ariana Grande, Jesse J, and Nicki Minaj. On The Mathira Show, Bangwar made a guest appearance where he discussed his childhood in the UK and the US as well as the reasons he abandoned his relatively lavish life, which included limos and record labels, to work as a commissioner in Pakistan.
Bangwar gave Minaj’s High School the name of the song he composed for the aforementioned artists. “I wrote the lyrics to Nicki Minaj’s song “High School” and I suppose that you can sell music. The same song appeared on her CD and was also released as a single, and the rest is history, he said.
A small bit of his life was discussed by Bangwar, who described how his thoughts were always torn between the arts and academics. While pursuing his singing career, he earned his LLB and a bachelor’s degree in fashion marketing. “I earned my law degree, followed by fashion marketing, then I signed with record companies. As a result, there were records, trips, limousines, and first-class tickets, and I was confident I was ready. When I visited Pakistan, the truth set in even though I knew I had made it. The 29-year-old exclaimed that Pakistan’s declining standard of living was what drove him to return. “I’d imagine that when I’m on an Emirates flight in first class, it must be difficult for locals to ride the public transportation.
Even though I’m dining at the greatest places, there are others in this area who are going hungry. What was I doing? I’d think to myself. My connection to reality was broken. I had the impression that somewhere I was wasting time and not doing enough. The gifted commissioner revealed that he had made the decision to quit whining about the conflicting facts and had instead taken and passed the commissioner exam. “I aced the test and entered the field. I was an Assistant Commissioner for Revenue in the Central region before being promoted to Assistant Commissioner for North Nazimabad. Once the news of his appointment broke, images of Bangwar quickly went viral online, turning him into an overnight sensation. The presence of a qualified and fashionable commissioner was welcomed by the users.
