A woman dancing in a police uniform was released on bail, but the lady officer whose uniform was used has not been found till yet.
Punjab police said on Thursday that a woman arrested for dancing in a police uniform in Khanewal district was released on bail by a court while the uniformed policeman is absconding and search is on for her.

Police in the Jahanian area of Khanewal said that a video of a woman dancing in a police uniform went viral on social media, but last week another police officer lodged an FIR and the woman was arrested. The local court granted bail and ordered her release. However, in the video, a case of robbery has been registered against the constable who lend her uniform to that lady.
Jahanian’s investigating officer Muhammad Azhar told The Independent Urdu that ASI Chaudhry Nazar Hussain had filed a petition on February 17 in which he said that he was shown a video on his mobile by a man in which a woman, who is not a police officer, was wearing uniform.
Wearing a police constable’s uniform, she was dancing to songs. His petition states that the video “brought the police department into disrepute and is a punishable offense.” According to the investigating officer Muhammad Azhar, the informant’s report was raided and the woman was arrested from a house in Jahanian along with her uniform and her phone was confiscated.
