WATCH: Anita Karim Secures Impressive Victory for Pakistan in Legends Fighting Championship

Anita Karim, an MMA fighter from Pakistan, achieved a remarkable triumph for her nation by defeating her Thai opponent in the Legend Fighting Championship on Sunday.

With her Thai opponent caught in a rear naked choke (RNC), the 52-kilogram competitor, Karim, submitted her and won the bout in the second round. A tribute to her tenacity, hard work, and unwavering devotion to the sport, Karim is a mixed martial arts (MMA) star hailing from Hunza. This victory is all the more noteworthy considering Pakistan’s lack of a robust grassroots MMA support system, despite the country’s enormous talent pool.

Karim’s victory at the Legend Fighting Championship not only serves as a source of hope for aspiring MMA legends among the youth but also showcases the talent and potential that exist throughout the nation. With the right support and direction, who knows how many champions Pakistan can produce? It’s important to note that the first National Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championship, scheduled for 2023 under the auspices of the Pakistan Mixed Martial Arts Federation, is set to commence at the Pakistan Sports Board Karachi Centre on September 8, just one week from now.

The event will conclude after three days, on September 10. “Pakistan Mixed Martial Arts holds membership in the Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA).” Fighters from all across Pakistan will compete at the 2023 National MMA Championship, promising an exciting spectacle that is sure to be remembered in combat sports history as one of the most thrilling events ever.
