Veteran TV actress Veena Kapoor was reportedly murdered by her son over a property dispute in a tragic incident.
After a fight, the 74-year-old actress was savagely attacked with a baseball bat. After a fight with Veena, her son, who once resided in the US, killed her in a fit of anger. According to rumors, her son has admitted to the police that he killed her. He also admitted during questioning to having a heated conversation to obtain a Rs. 12 crore plot, which was the cause of his anger. The famous actress’s son Sachin Kapoor (43) and a housekeeper named Chhotu, also known as Lalu Kumar Mandal (25), were both detained by police in connection with the homicide, according to a report from ANI.
The security manager of Kalpataru Society, where Veena Kumar lived, allegedly notified Juhu Police on Tuesday (December 6) that the actress was missing. Neelu Kohli, a friend of hers, wrote on Instagram: “Veenaji, you deserved better. I am devastated to post this for you. What should I say? I am completely at a loss for words. After so many years of battling, I hope you are now in peace. Her post claims that Veena’s son killed her and then put her body into a river close to Matheran in the Raigad region. Actors like Ridhiema Tiwari and Malini Kapoor among many others expressed shock.
Neelu Kohli expressed her disbelief in an interview with ETimes TV. There was always a problem, she said. She has been battling this case ever since I first met her. She would continue her puja and prayers while her case was being heard. Her sole focus in life was the mansion. I feel so awful for her because of this. She has put a lot of effort into this house.
