Unintended Altercation over Fake Mr. Bean

As the two teams prepare for their crucial match in the 2022 T20 World Cup on Thursday (October 27) at the Optus Stadium in Perth, their supporters on Twitter are having a contentious discussion.

Many are shocked to hear that the debate on both sides is the consequence of a fake Mr. Bean and has nothing to do with cricket. Discussions on both sides ensued after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) article on their pre-match practice session received a comment from a Zimbabwean supporter.

“No one in Zimbabwe will forgive you. You sent us that Fraud Pak Bean rather than Mr. Bean Rowan. Just pray for rain so you can be saved; we’ll settle this tomorrow, #ZIMVSPAK,” one Twitter user remarked on the microblogging app.

Asif Muhammed, a Pakistani man, was later found to have visited Zimbabwe in 2016 and to have resembled the well-known character played by Rowan Atkinson. The guy who performed at roadshows reportedly attended a comedy show and took part in the Harare Agricultural Show. Speaking of the game, Team India defeated Pakistan in the inaugural match of the 2022 T20 World Cup on Sunday at the MCG. Pakistan will look to avenge that heartbreaking last-ball defeat. The Men in Green are in dire need of a win to maintain their prospects of making the semi-finals. Zimbabwe received an unexpected point to begin their campaign despite the Proteas being on the edge of defeat in Hobart on Monday as their encounter against South Africa finished in a tie.

At the Perth Cricket Stadium on Thursday, the Craig Ervine-led team defeated Pakistan in the T20 World Cup by one run. “What a triumph for Zimbabwe!” the president of Zimbabwe mocked the Pakistani team in a tweet. Chevrons, congratulations. Send the genuine Mr. Bean the next time—#PakvsZim. PM Shehbaz Sharif thanked the president of Zimbabwe in a quote-retweet by writing, although we may not have the authentic Mr. Bean, we do have authentic cricketing passion, and Pakistanis have a funny knack for coming back from setbacks. Mr. President: Congratulations. Today, your team displayed excellent play, tweeted PM Shehbaz Sharif in response to Emmerson Mnangagwa’s tweet.
