Yahya Butt, multi-award winner, Pakistani bodybuilder, died on Sunday in Lahore. The president of the Punjab Bodybuilding Association verified the Olympia’s death.
Yahya, who had been battling colon cancer, died today at the age of 57 (60+ according to few media sources). The family, on the other hand, has yet to make any announcements about the funeral prayers or burial.
It’s worth noting that Yahya Butt has been crowned Mr Asia three times and Mr Pakistan five times.
Yahya retired from the Punjab Police Service a few years ago to pursue a career in bodybuilding.
Since last year, Yahya Butt has been battling cancer. He was in a private hospital receiving treatment.
Mr Pakistan Olympia had previously suffered coronavirus the last year.
Yahya left the Punjab Police Force a few years ago to return to bodybuilding. He previously had his own gym and advised a sports manufacturing company on how to make gym equipment.
