Software Company Denies Hackers’ Claims in Restaurants’ Data Leak Incident

Indolj, the software company, has denied the hackers’ assertion that they exposed customers’ confidential information on the internet. The hackers claimed to have obtained access to the records of restaurants.

It was revealed yesterday that online restaurant databases had been breached, allowing hackers to steal the personal information of 2.2 million Pakistani individuals and sell it online. According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Indolj, Saad Jangda, the restaurant management software used by his company has not leaked any personal information about any citizen. The CEO of Indolj stated that the software’s database is well-protected, and the hackers’ assertions are unfounded.

He clarified that no private information about residents is contained in the software developed by Indolj. Jangda also mentioned that the company is currently conducting a comprehensive investigation into the incident. Hackers asserted that they had acquired confidential information from an online restaurant database consisting of over two million Pakistani citizens’ data and were selling it on the internet. These hackers managed to obtain personal data from the restaurant’s software, and now this information is accessible for sale on the internet.

The hackers even provided sample photos in their advertisements. They alleged to have accessed the customer databases of over 250 restaurants, containing sensitive data like credit card details and mobile phone numbers. To release this information, the hackers demanded a payment of two Bitcoins. The FIA Cybercrime Circle stated that they had not received any complaints about software hacking. However, it was discovered that the hackers had shared the information with various individuals via the dark web.
