Slip of tongue season: PM Khan takes US’s name in connection to threat memo, retracts in an instant

The mystery surrounding country that issued the “threat memo” was solved when Prime Minister Imran Khan in a slip of the tongue said that the “letter” was sent by the US.

During a broadcast address to the country, the Prime Minister made the slip of the tongue. The speech was supposed to start at 7:15 p.m., but it was postponed. The administration did not reveal the cause for the delay.

He remarked in a “slip of the tongue” that the US had issued a “threat memo” to Pakistan, and then went on to say that a foreign government had sent a “threat memo” to Pakistan.

“The letter stated that the no-confidence motion was being tabled even before it was submitted,” the premier explained.

The memo, according to Prime Minister Imran Khan, was written against him, not the administration. “…it indicated that if the no-confidence motion passes, Pakistan will be forgiven; otherwise, penalties will be imposed.”

The premier added that Pakistan’s envoy, who was taking notes during the meeting, had communicated a “official letter.” Pakistan will suffer “difficulties” if Prime Minister Imran Khan stays in office, according to the envoy.
