Following the death of Indian artist Lata Mangeshkar, another propaganda campaign targeting Bollywood’s star actor, Shah Rukh Khan, emerged on Indian social media.
Propagandists accused Shah Rukh Khan of spitting on Lata Mangeshkar’s dead body.
Shah Rukh Khan attended the singer’s funeral. On social media, a photo of Shah Rukh Khan standing and bending over the dead body of Lata Mangeshkar while paying his respects to the singer went viral.
The adversaries mistook Shah Rukh Khan for spitting on the singer’s body when, in fact, he was reciting some prayers for her.
State in-Charge of BJP for Haryana Arun Yadav asked, “Has it spit?” He re-tweeted ‘political observer’ Rishi Bagree’s tweet, which states, “Seems like Lata jee’s funeral has become SRK’s rehabilitation PR.”

A user also commented saying, “Exactly my thoughts. Frankly it won’t be preposterous to think that it was done after much planning! He could have ‘phoonk’ in his mask too. It would have reached the destination filtered!”

Muslims commonly chant prayers for the deceased’s eternal peace and then blow air to fend off evil spirits when they have finished praying. After uttering some prayers for Mangeshkar’s ultimate rest, Shah Rukh Khan may have blown air from his mouth over her body.
The story went viral, prompting a barrage of hostile remarks directed at the actor on the internet. Khan did not respond to the internet hatred with a retort. Many Indian outlets are now dispelling the rumour that Shah Rukh Khan spits on Lata Mangeshkar’s body.
His fans hit back at haters of Shah Rukh Khan and tweeted in his favor. “Shah Rukh Khan reading a dua and blowing on Lata Ji’s mortal remains for protection and blessings in the next life. Cannot comprehend the level of bitterness of those saying he is spitting,” wrote a fan of Shah Rukh Khan.
