Shadab Khan Marries the Daughter of Saqlain Mushtaq

The baarat (wedding party) of Pakistani bowler Shadab Khan arrived at the venue on Thursday in Rawalpindi with a lot of fanfare.

With his white sherwani and matching qulla [groom’s headgear], the groom looks dashing in the images that have been released. The groom posted on Twitter as follows: “Alhamdulillah. We are fortunate to have this day together. My baraat. I aspire to be a good husband to my amazing wife.  I sincerely appreciate everyone’s consideration for the privacy of my family.”

A few images of himself were also posted. The famous cricketer wed Saqlain Mushtaq’s daughter in a secret nikkah ceremony last month. Announcing his nikkah on Twitter, the batsman did so on January 23.

“Alhamdulillah, today was my nikkah. My life is starting a new chapter on this significant day. Please respect the decisions that my wife and I make, as well as those of our families. Best wishes and love to everyone,” he posted in a tweet.

Later, it was revealed that February 9 and 10 would be the dates for the baarat and walima. Videos of Shadab’s mehndi event from last night went viral, arousing interest and stoking excitement among followers. The fact that a large number of followers have flooded Twitter with congratulations for the cricketer and well wishes for the newlyweds is understandable.

Users couldn’t help but comment on how dashing Shadab appears in the early pictures from the event amid the congratulations.
