During the press conference following their warm-up game against Australia, Shadab was asked if the Pakistani squad had eaten the renowned Hyderabadi Biryani while they were in the city. He stated that they had been enjoying it every day. “We regularly indulge in Hyderabadi biryani, so perhaps that’s why we seem a bit slow,” Shadab said, chuckling.
Shadab Khan, who temporarily took over as captain in the team’s match against Australia on Tuesday in place of the usual skipper Babar Azam, expressed how much the team was enjoying their stay in Hyderabad. However, Pakistan fell short in Australia’s 352-run chase in their second exhibition match, losing by 14 runs. In the first exhibition match, New Zealand had defeated them by a margin of five wickets. Additionally, he highlighted the advantages of the two warm-up contests.
“The outcome is not the most important thing,” declared Pakistan’s vice-captain. “We gained many positives. Our attitude was positive, but the result was beyond our control. I believe our starting eleven is set; all we wanted to do was give the bench players a chance to demonstrate their abilities.
