Punjab’s Private Schools Association Rejects Proposed Schedule For Summer Vacation

Kashif Mirza, president of the Private Schools Association, voiced his disapproval of the government’s decision on Wednesday in response to the Punjab School Education Department’s announcement regarding summer holidays in the province.

Because of the 240-day length of the school year’s curriculum, Mirza said that vacation days could not begin on June 6. Summer break will begin in the province from June 6 to August 20, according to a statement from the provincial education department.

In response to the statement, Mirza stated that because school exams were not slated to end until June 15 as planned by the administration, summer vacations could not begin as planned. The association’s president issued a warning that if the education department did not address their concerns, they would file a lawsuit.

Summer break will take effect by educational institutions in the province from June 1 to July 31, the Sindh government said last week. The education secretary claimed that the steering group for educational institutions took the decision to announce the dates for the summer break.

Do you know why Sindh MPA wants all adults married at 18?

It is important to remember that the choice was made during the steering committee on education’s meeting earlier this year. The School Education and Literacy Department of the Government of Sindh is responsible for all public and private institutions, hence this notification applies to them all.
