PSL 8 Anthem to Be Sung By Abdullah Siddiqui, Faris Shafi, Shae Gill, Asim Azhar

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) official anthem was written by young singer Abdullah Siddiqui this season. Siddiqui will write the PSL anthem for the second year in a row.

“Agay Dekh,” the anthem for PSL 7, was written by Siddiqui, Atif Aslam, and Aima Baig last year. Asim Azhar and Shae Gill will perform the anthem this year, as stated by the PSL on its official account.

The third singer, Faris Shafi, will give the song a rap flavor, according to the sources. Ali Sethi, the son of Pakistan Cricket Board Committee (PCB) Management, Chairman Najam Sethi, was to previously sing the PSL 8 anthem. The anthem for this year was going to be composed by Pasoori’s creators.

However, Najam, a two-time former PCB chairman, chose to invalidate the contract his son was under to prevent a conflict of interest. “Ali not being able to sing the national anthem makes me sad. This has angered Ali as well “Najam revealed during a news conference last month.

When I’m not here, Ali Sethi will sing the national anthem. You have to comprehend where I’m coming from. I don’t want to get embroiled in any conflict of interest disputes, “He had added. In Coke Studio season 14, Ali and Shae performed Pasoori, which became incredibly popular all over the world. The Pasoori team was enlisted to create the anthem by former PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja. Over 10 million people viewed Abdullah’s production of the national anthem from the previous year on YouTube.

In Karachi, Multan, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, PSL 8 will be contested from February 13 to March 19. First time in PSL history, Multan will play host to both the opening ceremony and a game.

On February 13, Lahore Qalandars will play host to Multan Sultans, the current champions. The debut game between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings will take place in Karachi on February 14. 14 games will be held in Karachi and Multan during the first phase, which runs until February 26.

Lahore’s first game will be held there on the same day. After that, Lahore and Rawalpindi will host the league. Additionally, according to the sources, Rawalpindi would host 11 out of the total 16 PSL games this season. At the renowned Gaddafi Stadium on March 19, the huge event’s finale will take place.
