Project to end child labor initiated

Idara e Taleem o Aagahi (ITA), Bulley Shah Packages and Store Enso collaborated to eradicate Child Labor and ITA initiated the Project “Life Skills for Kids”.

The project has been successful throughout the tenure of eight years and the ending ceremony was held today with the beneficiaries and sponsors. Students under LSK participated and presented their rights and the learning they had under Life Skills for Kids – A Project by Idara e Taleem o Aagahi (ITA).

Chief Guest of the ceremony Ms. Sarah Ahmed (Chairman of the Child Protection Welfare Bureau) appreciated the amazing efforts of the students and congratulated ITA for the wonderful execution of the project and contributions towards the betterment of society. Ms. Rizwana Ghazanfar (Chairperson of the Children’s Library Complex) also addressed the ceremony and congratulated all the children for their wonderful efforts.

CEO Idara e Taleem o Aagahi Ms. Baela Raza Jamil also addressed the ceremony and explained the complications that occurred and congratulated the Project Team and Staff for their excellent efforts, especially during the tenure of COVID-19, during which schools were closed but the Life Skills for Kids team and staff continued the education of these children by turning houses and streets into schools and chose several points in the community where with proper COVID-19 precautions children were provided with continuous education.

Parliamentarians Ms. Saadia Sohail Rana, Ms. Kanwal Liaquat, and Ms. Ayesha Iqbal greatly appreciated Idara e Taleem o Aagahi (ITA), the Project Team, and the efforts of the children. Project Coordinator Ms. Fatima Jaffar explained the work and achievements of the project and the education provided under it to these children and showed respect to the community for their tremendous support. The closing ceremony was concluded with shield and souvenir distribution among the guests and children.
