On both Android and iOS devices, Twitter is now introducing a brand-new feature that will let users combine gifs, images, videos, and memes in a single tweet.
The business announced that it is enabling everyone to share different types of media in a single Tweet in a blog post. The business stated in a blog post late on Wednesday that “this capability will roll out internationally to iOS and Android, with a possibility to see mixed media Tweets on the web.” Alessandro Paluzzi, a reverse engineer, discovered the functionality for the first time in April.

The process of adding “mixed” material to a Tweet is easy and clear. Tap the “Media” or “GIF” icons when creating a Tweet to choose the content you wish to post. Don’t forget to include a description to make your photographs more readable. That’s all! Each Tweet can contain a maximum of four videos, pictures, or GIFs. The upgrade is presently accessible on iOS and Android, although all platforms support reading Tweets with various content formats. Anyone who wished to share several media types in a single Tweet or thread had to do it before. Now, when users open the Tweet composer, they may choose and post a mix of up to four different forms of material, including images, memes, GIFs, and videos.
Twitter is now allowing users to modify their tweets, but this function is only available to Blue subscribers, according to the app. The new feature will soon be made available to customers in Canada, Australia, and even New Zealand. Additionally, you can only take advantage of this fantastic function if you subscribe to the platform’s paid service and become a member of the Blue club. The entire incident had been a simple rumor for some time, and many people had yet to witness it.
Twitter bans sharing photos, video of people without consent
However, the app later revealed that it was actively developing the functionality for modifications to begin in 2022. Twitter said that initially, this would be seen as an internal test, but a week ago, it said that it will soon be ready for a public rollout. As a result, Twitter’s Edit Button is now officially live for the first time. And the app’s Blue subscribers are its biggest fans.
While Twitter’s last tweet about the launch didn’t go into great detail about a lot of topics, multiple blog pieces on the subject do. Users will be able to change things like hashtags, typos, and a few other things that happened within the 30-minute window, just after the tweet was sent, for example. This tweet will contain a set of visual signals, such as icons, labels, and even timestamps, which will indicate to viewers that it has been edited after the modification is complete.
