Pakistani Gamer Arslan Ash takes-away the Tekken 7 Tournament at EVO Japan 2023

Arslan “Ash” Siddique of Pakistan defeated Meo-IL of South Korea to win the Tekken 7 match at EVO Japan 2023.

The player from Lahore has already taken home three EVO championships. He won both the Evolution Championship Series and the Tekken 7 tournaments in 2019 in Japan and the US, respectively. He came in third place in the EVO 2022 Tekken 7 competition in August of last year. In the final leg of the event on Sunday, Siddique choose the character Zafina and defeated Meo-IL, who was playing with Geese Howard, 3-0.

Katsuhiro Harada, the director and lead producer of the Tekken series games, later gave cash and other awards to the top three victors, including Rangchu from South Korea, who came in third.

 

EVO, which has a lengthy history and is the biggest fighting game tournament in the world, attracts competitors from all over the globe to Las Vegas, according to the event website. EVO Japan, a different world championship in the same vein as the main EVO competition, was also mentioned. Another Pakistani, Atif Butt, became the new “King of the Iron Fist” in February after triumphing in the videogame competition known as the Tekken World Tour 2022 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Butt was a part of the group that Ash himself established.
