The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a fresh travel regulation for passengers going abroad.
They have instructed all airline administrations to compulsorily verify the polio vaccination cards of travelers before their departure. These instructions apply to all airports and airlines. Passengers are strongly advised to ensure they have updated online polio vaccination cards with them while traveling overseas.
The statement added that passengers are now required to obtain updated polio vaccination cards once their old ones have expired. In June, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) made changes to travel regulations related to COVID-19. The need for presenting COVID-19 vaccination certificates and negative PCR reports before boarding or upon arrival has been removed for all passengers traveling to and from Pakistan.
Additionally, the previous requirement for 2% screening of passengers arriving from the UK, Gulf, and other countries for COVID-19 has also been abolished.
As per the notification, the decisions regarding incoming travelers to Pakistan, based on information from the National Command and Operations Center, will be implemented immediately and remain in effect until further notice.
