Maryam Nawaz during a press conference fumbled out plan of the federal government of arresting chairman Pakistan Tehreeq-e-Insaaf Imran Khan. After the slip, she quickly realizes and turns away from the topic.
This press conference came after a long night in which houses of MNA’s and MPA’s were raided for arrests.
Numerous arrests of MNAs and MPAs have been made while many raids were stopped by supporters and people of the area.
Former Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed’s house was also on the hit list. He had posted a video in which he claimed that police forces have surrounded his house and would arrest him any minute. The standoff still continues till the filing of this report.
As the government intensifies its grip on the PTI in Punjab and the former interior minister, it was rumored that the government would come after Imran Khan for his arrest.
After the slip up in the presser, critics say that the intention of the Federal government has been revealed. They say that the government might be looking for the best time to make an arrest of the PTI chairman to stop his Haqiqi March in Islamabad.
Meanwhile, the capital city of Islamabad has been barricaded. Security on all roads going to Islamabad has been beefed up, while some roads have completely been blocked.
Complaints of commuters trying to reach or leave the capital city had started surfacing on the night of 23rd of May while the march is scheduled for 25th of May.
