Khan, 19 Other Top PTI Leaders booked

Tehreek-i-Insaf Pakistan Imran Khan, the party’s chairman, and 19 additional key figures have been charged in a separate case for organizing a public protest in support of PTI imprisoned leader Shahbaz Gill on August 20 in Islamabad.

By holding the gathering and obstructing the road, the PTI leaders violated Section 144, according to the Aabparah Police Station, which has filed a complaint against them. The rally’s attendees also chanted anti-government slogans. In the case reported to the police station are the names of Imran Khan, Sheikh Rasheed, Asad Umar, Murad Saeed, Faisal Javed, Asad Qaiser, Waseem Shahzad, and Faizul Hassan Chohan.

Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), was earlier given a show-cause notice by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for disrespecting the court on Tuesday. Khan must physically appear in court by August 31 under IHC’s directive, according to BOL News. It is important to note that Imran Khan was charged with contempt of court for threatening Additional Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry during his statement. Although PTI leaders claimed that an arrest warrant had been issued for the leader, no one has been taken into custody yet.

The facts state that the case was heard by a three-person bench presided over by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani. When did the former prime minister make this claim, questioned Justice Mohsin. The Advocate General replied that he said this while speaking to the general public on August 20 at F-9 Park. Additionally, Imran Khan’s declaration was delivered before the IHC bench by the Advocate General of Islamabad. Judicial Magistrate Zeba Chaudhry heard the matter about the physical remand of Shehbaz Gill, the speaker continued. The Pakistani Election Commission (ECP) and the judiciary were the targets.

Judge Zeba Chaudhry of the Additional Session stated that Judge Chaudhry is considering thousands of cases. If the court rules against you, will you speak out against the judiciary? We did not anticipate such remarks from a former prime minister. A female judge was reportedly threatened, and if such an environment is formed, it won’t function in this way, he continued.

Imran Khan, the chairman of the PTI, was charged with violating the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) after making threats against a judge and two senior police officers during a public meeting at the F-9 Park late on Saturday night. In the meantime, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) issued a directive to all TV channels prohibiting the broadcast of any content (whether recorded or produced under its banner or broadcast during a press conference or live speech) that criticizes the institutions of government.
