An official of the National Highway Authority (NHA) said that the Kaghan-Naran route is closed to all sorts of traffic as a result of the melting of a sizable glacier.
The NHA official also reported that work is progressing quickly near Chitta Katha on Naran Road to clear the road of glaciers and clean it up. He claimed that a large glacier near Guriya Chinch Naran had also obstructed the path. He said that the construction would begin when the glacier on Guriya Chinch was cleaned.

The tourism authority’s spokesman, Muhammad Saad, warned travelers to exercise caution while visiting the Kaghan and Naran valleys.
He advised tourists to stay away from Naran and added that the district administration, NHA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Department, Tourism Authority, and Kaghan Development Authority are working together to clear the road of the blockage caused by the melted glacier on a priority basis to ensure the safety of tourists.
He advised travelers to call the Tourism Helpline at (844) 1422 for any information or emergencies. According to the Tourism Authority spokesman, material about raising awareness of tourism is constantly posted on social media sites.
