Islamabad Police: Pukaar-15 Introduced By Merging All Emergency Services

The Islamabad police have combined all of their emergency response services under Safe City, and they’ve also launched a new hotline called Pukaar-15, which will allow them to respond quickly to any accidents and provide the complainant with a police report right away.

According to Inspector General of Police (Islamabad) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan gave particular instructions for the implementation of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif’s vision.

The IGP stated that a 1,000-person Eagle Squad has been added to it and would serve as a first responder. The “Pukaar-15″‘s major goal is to make life better for people outside of their homes.

Whenever a citizen calls “Pukaar-15,” the closest Eagle Squad responds as the first helper. The staff of the involved police station will then attend to the site, record all of the complainant’s information and circumstances, and immediately file a First Information Report (FIR). A copy of the FIR will also be given to the complainant by the officer.

According to the IGP in Islamabad, the Interior Minister has ordered changes to be made to the police and Safe City. The coverage of Safe City would rise from 30% to 100%, according to what he said, and funding has been allocated. All of these measures are primarily intended to provide immediate solutions to the public’s problems.

IGP (Islamabad) responded to a request for comment by saying that it would guarantee a swift response from the emergency services for the people and it would be supervised by top police officials. Every service, he claimed, would be designed intending to help people ensure security at every turn. According to the IGP, it will give citizens a sense of security and peace of mind, which will lower crime overall.

Netizens took to Twitter to share their thoughts. Twitter user @amnaappi tweeted that it’s brilliant that the Pukaar-15 Mobile App from @RwpPolice enables the distressed person to share their live location with Rawalpindi Police.
