Despite Pakistan’s regular policy of issuing visas to Sikh pilgrims for decades in order to make them visit their holy places here, India continues its belligerent acts.
This practice also continues even after opening of the Kartarpur corridor and also on the pretext of Covid-19 when the cases were at their lowest.
But now Pakistan’s liberal policy of issuing visas to Sikh pilgrims has compelled India to reopen Kartarpur Corridor from Wednesday (Nov. 17, 2021). The corridor was closed in March last year by India citing coronavirus pandemic.
The opening comes at a time of 552nd birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Sahib being observed next week.
Last week, Pakistan issued around 3,000 visas to Indian Sikh pilgrims to participate in the 552nd birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak in Pakistan from November 17 to 26.
