In his debut encounter of PSL 7, Shahid Afridi had an unfavourable outing with the ball, conceding the most runs in a bowling stint in both PSL history and his T20 career. He also set the record for receiving the most sixes in the Pakistan Super League’s history.
Shahid Afridi set the most expensive bowling stats in PSL history when he made his debut for Quetta Gladiators. Afridi took one wicket of Azam Khan, but the batters ripped him apart from the start. In the 10th match of the PSL 7, Islamabad United batted first and amassed a massive score of 229 runs.
The star leg-spinner surrendered 67 runs, including eight sixes, the most by a bowler in a single innings in the PSL. Shahid Afridi bowled the most expensive stint in PSL history, conceding 67 runs in four overs, surpassing Zafar Gohar’s 65-run spell against Peshawar Zalmi in 2021.
This was the highest runs scored against a bowler in PSL history, and it was also Shahid Afridi’s least economical spell of his long T20 career, with an average rating of 16.75.
Prior to the match against Islamabad United, star all-rounder Shahid Afridi re-joined Quetta Gladiators. This will be his final season in the PSL.
But Afridi fans are defending Lala and talking about the glorious innings that has been played by Shahid Afridi in the past .
People who have seen Boom Boom #ShahidAfridi at his peak, it is painful to see him bowling like this. He's not even a shadow of what he was a decade ago 💔😔
