After failing to reach a new licencing agreement, the FIFA video game will be discontinued.
EA Sports FC, on the other hand, will debut in 2023. For nearly three decades, EA has produced a FIFA game.
The FIFA video game will be discontinued after the developer was unable to reach a new licencing agreement with FIFA, the world soccer governing organisation.
Instead, EA Sports FC will debut in 2023, after the business finishes developing the final game alongside FIFA later this year.
FIFA is viewed by many as a game rather than a sports political organisation.
EA has been making FIFA games for over three decades, and its worldwide popularity benefited the Zurich-based company’s image when it was tainted by a wave of soccer official arrests in 2015.
FIFA will now have to look for other video gaming opportunities outside of EA.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson commented, “We’re grateful for our many years of a wonderful relationship with FIFA.” “Worldwide football has a bright future ahead of it, and global fandom has never been higher. We have a fantastic opportunity to put EA SPORTS FC at the core of the sport, and to provide the burgeoning football audience with even more unique and authentic experiences.”
