FIA approaches banks to freeze TikToker Hareem Shah’s accounts

After recording a video with large cash of foreign currency, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has urged numerous banks to freeze TikToker Hareem Shah’s accounts.

After mocking Pakistani authorities for allowing her to travel overseas with bundles of foreign currency, the FIA has filed letters to Punjab Bank and Habib Bank to freeze Hareem Shah’s bank accounts.

“Freeze Hareem Shah’s accounts until an investigation into money laundering charges is completed,” the agency wrote to the banks.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had previously filed a letter to the National Crime Agency of the United Kingdom, requesting that TikToker Hareem Shah be investigated for money laundering.

The federal investigation agency has informed the British NCA about the TikTok star’s travel and personal identifying details, according to the letter.

According to the letter, Hareem Shah claimed to have ‘laundered’ money through ‘fraud’ in a video shot in the United Kingdom.

In another video, TikToker disputed claims of money laundering,’ dismissing the earlier video as a ‘joke,’ which was also recorded in the UK, according to the letter.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) launched a money-laundering investigation against prominent TikToker Hareem Shah after the social media star admitted to illegally moving huge amounts of cash overseas in a video.

The investigation was filed against TiKToker under the country’s foreign exchange regulatory act, according to a representative for the FIA Sindh.
