The first trailer for the most eagerly awaited video game has finally been released, showing several new details and validating previous leaks.
The first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer is here, and it transports us to the same Vice City setting as the beloved Grand Theft Auto: Vice City game from more than 20 years ago. Lucia, the first recognized female lead in the series, who had previously surfaced in a leaked video, is confirmed in the teaser. Although she wasn’t the first female protagonist in the traditional sense, no one seems to recall the female selectable option from the first Grand Theft Auto game.
While we’ve previously explored Vice City, this upcoming iteration represents a next-level remake of the iconic location, boasting significant advancements in both graphics and features. The trailer hints at the possibility of Lucia’s partner being a playable character, given his prominent placement on the cover image and substantial presence in the video. Social media integration also plays a pivotal role in the gaming experience, evident through numerous Instagram Reels-like videos showcased in the trailer.
True to the Grand Theft Auto franchise’s nature, criminal activities, and heists are integral gameplay elements. Lucia and her yet-to-be-named partner take center stage in these illicit endeavors, as showcased in the initial trailer. While Rockstar has not disclosed the release date for the second trailer, Grand Theft Auto VI is slated for a 2025 launch, with widespread speculation suggesting a console release preceding availability on PC, following the series’ established pattern.
