Kapotaqkhy Chanchala, a doctor-turned-model, has been named Miss Pakistan Universal 2023.
As two other title holders from abroad did not show up for the event, crowns were placed on the heads of six recipients of the title. Sonia Ahmed, the president of the organization, launched the competition on behalf of Miss Pakistan World, which has its headquarters in Canada.
Dr. Kapotaqkhy Chanchala was the winner of Miss. Pakistan Universal 2023, Warda Muneeb Rao won Miss. Pakistan Global 2023, Alina Khan is the winner of Miss Trans Pakistan 2023, Shafina Shah of the United Kingdom won Ms. Pakistan World 2023, Beenish George won the 2023 Ms. Pakistan Universe pageant, Fatima Fakhar won Mrs. Pakistan World 2023.
Sabeen Baledina of the United States and Misbah Arshad of Germany respectively won the Miss Pakistan World and Miss Pakistan Supreme titles for 2023, however, they could not attend. The categories were clearly explained before the winners were announced, however, it appeared that the paparazzi covering the event were a little confused. The City of Light`s Miss Pakistan Universal 2023 spoke at the event and discussed what drew her to the entertainment industry. I discovered the Miss Pakistan World forum and signed up there for the contest. The person who most motivated me later was Dr. Shafaq Akhter, a former Miss Pakistan Universal 2022.” Dr. Chanchala won the award and is a doctor by training.
Miss Chanchala responded to a question by explaining how her unusual name helped her get to know people. “I explain to them that Chanchala means active or naughty, Kapot means pigeon, and Aqkhy means eyes. He was a novelist by chance, a journalist by trade, and a poet by nature.” In response to a different question, she stated that she was raised in a Muslim family in Karachi where she was born and raised. She claimed that when she rushed into the pageant world, she had to deal with criticism, especially from family members on her mother`s side.
