Another dowry-demanding episode has gone viral. In this video, a bridegroom is seen demanding dowry. He even threatens the bride’s family if they do not comply with his demands. Otherwise, He would call off the wedding.

If the requested sum is not received, the bridegroom has threatened to cancel the wedding. The bride’s family attempted to reason with them, but it was futile.
The incident captured by camera shows the bride is requesting groom to behave reasonably but the groom heard saying that as he is a government officer so he deserves dowry.
A dowry is a monetary or property contribution made by the bride’s family to the groom’s family at the time of the wedding. Dowry differs from the terms bride price and dower, which are used interchangeably.
