The corporate sector has made a profit of Rs980 billion, Prime Minister Imran Khan stated on January 24 during the telecast of the fifth ‘Aap Ka Wazir Azam Aap Ke Sath,’ a town-hall-style show where the premier takes questions from the public.
“I’d call them and tell them they need to raise their employees’ salaries because you’ve never made such a profit before,” Prime Minister Khan stated.
Salman Iqbal, President and CEO of ARY Digital Network, announced a wage boost for lower-level employees on Friday, in response to Prime Minister Khan’s call for corporations to improve employee salaries.
Salman Iqbal stated that employees earning up to Rs20,000 per month will receive an increase of 80%. “With Allah Almighty’s favour and the team’s countless efforts, we have achieved this milestone,” he stated.

Asad Umar, the Federal Minister for Planning and Development, congratulated Iqbal on Twitter, saying, “Well done @Salman ARY for substantially boosting ARY employees’ salary.” In recent years, many corporations have made extraordinary profits. I hope that others will follow suit and share the extra profits with their employees by raising their wages.”

“Our salaried class has been affected by inflation,” Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry said, praising Salman Iqbal. “Such steps will help this section of society navigate inflation.”
