Angelina Jolie to stay in flood hit areas of Pakistan for 2 days

Hollywood Angelina Jolie, an A-list celebrity and philanthropist, arrived in Pakistan to offer assistance with flood relief efforts. According to the International Rescue Committee, the actor arrived in Dadu to aid families impacted by devastating flooding (IRC).

Angelina Jolie, a well-known international humanitarian, is in Pakistan to assist the communities impacted by the terrible floods. 33 million people have been affected by the country’s widespread flooding and heavy rains, and a third of it is now underwater, the company stated. Angelina Jolie is here to see and comprehend the situation, as well as to hear directly from those who are immediately impacted about their needs and how to take action to save future suffering.

The source added that Jolie, who has also visited victims of the 2005 earthquake and the 2010 floods in Pakistan, will visit local organizations supporting displaced persons, particularly Afghan refugees, and IRC emergency response activities. The survey also revealed that Pakistan is the second largest refugee host in the world and has hosted Afghan refugees for more than 40 years, despite contributing barely 1% of the world’s carbon emissions. Jolie will draw attention to the critical need for aid for the Pakistani people as well as more extensive answers to the world’s present issues with climate change, mass migration, and ongoing instability.

Jolie will witness “firsthand how nations like Pakistan are suffering the biggest penalty for a crisis they did not cause,” according to the IRC.

The IRC went on to say that it hopes Jolie’s visit will raise awareness of this problem and spur action by the international community, particularly states that are the biggest contributors to carbon emissions, to aid nations that are suffering the most from the climate disaster immediately. In light of the devastation brought on by the climatic crisis, Turkish actor Celal Al, who portrays Abdurrahman Alp in the acclaimed Turkish television series Diriliş: Erturul, had already been to Karachi to assist with local flood relief operations.

To inform his fans back home about the seriousness of the situation in Pakistan and persuade them to make donations to people who are displaced, the actor traveled from Turkey. Al has served as an inspiration for local and worldwide celebrities in his efforts to help flood victims in the country through the Turkish Red Crescent. He traveled there bringing food, all the supplies, plus several other things. Everyone who was impacted received this donation from him. He has a lot of compassion for kids. He had a great relationship with children.
