It was never heard that buying yogurt costs so dearly that it put one’s career in abeyance. One such case occurred recently when Federal Railways Minister Azam Khan Swati suspended a train driver and his assistant for stopping the train to buy yogurt.
The incident was filmed and went viral on social media depicting the train driver halting the train near Kahna Kacha railway station to purchase the commodity.

The video drew flak from many on social media and the railway department officials. The minister ordered the department officials to suspend train driver Rana Muhammad Shehzad and his assistant Iftikhar Hussain.
Giving a stern warning, Swati said that he will not tolerate such actions in future and won’t allow anyone to use national assets in personal capacity.
Last December, a ban was imposed on train drivers and their assistants on the use of mobile phones during the journey. They had also been restricted from recording videos and audio messages and taking selfies in all passenger trains.
Concerned divisional heads of the railway department had also been ordered to keep a check and track crew members of a train particularly the train drivers and their assistants and take quick action in case they flout orders.
