WATCH: Khabib Nurmagomedov sends a special video message to Maulana Tariq Jamil

Khabib Nurmagomedov, the undefeated UFC champion, sent a video message to famed Pakistani Islamic teacher Maulana Tariq Jamil.

While standing with Khabib, a follower of the scholar captured the video. “Maulana sahab, Assalamualikum. I hope everything is going well for you. Khabib wishes to greet you with salaam “As the video starts, a follower says.

He then shifts the camera to the renowned MMA fighter, who greets Maulana Tariq Jamil and inquires about his health.

“Assalamualikum sheikh Tariq. How are you? How is everything, brother? I hope everything is good with you, family,” Khabib said.

“See you insha’Allah brother,” he said, adding that he wanted the religious teacher to send his greetings to all of Pakistan’s “brothers.”

After defeating Justin Gaethje early in the second round at UFC 254 in 2020, the 32-year-old fighter retired from MMA.

Khabib Nurmagomedov of the UFC has been awarded BBC Sports Star of the Year 2020.

Khabib completed his Fighting career last year with a win over Justin Gaethje, bringing his record to a perfect 29-0.

There had been rumours about his return to MMA following his retirement, but the former champion had denied them.
