After the horrific incident of a father killing a 7-day old daughter in Mianwali, a mother in Karachi has slaughtered her 22 day old daughter and tried to make it look like a robbery while the husband was away.
According to SSP Shehla Qureshi, a mother was arrested from Liaquatabad area on the charges of killing her own infant daughter.
SSP’s Investigation revealed that Amima killed her daughter because the couple was not able to give proper time to each other after the birth of their child.
She said that the baby girl did not sleep properly at night and cried. This led to quarrels between Amima and her husband. So she ended up killing her. According to SSP, the accused has confessed to her crime.
In-charge of Investigation Department Liaqatabad Athar Malik arrested the accused during operation and recovered weapon which was used in the murder, said Shehla Qureshi SSP.
Investigators found that house items were scattered in the house to cast the impression of robbery.
The body of a 22-day-old girl was found in the house on March 10.
