Videos of several visitors who were found dead in vehicles stranded in Murree due to intense snow storm have surfaced on internet and WhatsApp.
Vehicles were caught in the snow due to snowfall in Murree, and people were seen dead in the car in several of the footage that has been circulating on social media.
Due to a significant number of vehicles approaching the hill station due to heavy snowfall, the administrations of Rawalpindi and Islamabad stopped the routes leading to Murree and Galiyat.

Thousands of tourists descended on the hill area on Friday to observe the snowfall, which caused major traffic congestion on the Murree-Islamabad Highway. To avert a worsening traffic gridlock, the authorities decided to stop all types of traffic heading towards the hill station.
Meanwhile, the highway police and local government are assisting tourists who have become stopped in their cars due to the heavy traffic. The procedure for returning the cars from Murree has already begun.
According to sources, 19 individuals died in the car.
It should be emphasised that, according to the Rawalpindi district administration, more than 27,000 vehicles have entered Murree so far, with more on the way. More visitors would be denied entry to Murree.
Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad wrote in this regard that individuals will only be able to travel to Murree and Galyat in an exceptional situation.
The decision was made, according to the interior minister, to provide convenience to tourists returning from Murree and Galyat.
