The British counsel general to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia has embraced Islam and changed his identity to be called as Seif Usher.
He took to the Twitter to break the news with a picture of him standing in the open space outside Masjid-e-Nabwi (the Prophet’s mosque). Expressing his joy after making a life-changing decision, he said he is very happy to return to his favourite city – Madina and say the Fajr prayer at Masjid-e-Nabwi.
Usher went on to say that he is anticipating a flux of visitors every year to Madina like it used to before the covid crisis.
Earlier, another British diplomat to Saudi Arabia – Simon Collis converted to Islam and also performed Hajj pilgrimage in 2016.
