The most prominent mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion firm in the world is called The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Currently, over 250 fighters are under contract with the UFC, which conducts more than 40 events annually. According to UFC president Dana White, the prospect of Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg engaging in combat in the UFC is “the biggest ever in the history of the world.” Following a discussion on their social media channels, White has been contacted by the two tech behemoths. White told TMZ, “I spoke with Elon and Mark last night. These two guys are dead serious about this. They both want to carry it out.” Initially, I received a phone call from Mark Zuckerberg himself, inquiring, ‘Is he genuinely serious?’

And I said, “I don’t know; let me ask him.” When I did, he responded, “Yeah, I’m dead serious.” According to White, a “cage match” between the two tech titans might bring in $1 billion in revenue. Zuckerberg, incidentally, also participated in his first jiu-jitsu match last month and trained with potential UFC fighters in the lead-up.
It all began when Musk, who owns Twitter, replied to a tweet about Meta allegedly getting ready to launch a new Twitter competitor named “Threads.” Musk made fun of the idea that the world would soon be “exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options,” but a Twitter user quickly reminded Musk of Zuckerberg’s jiu-jitsu background.
On Tuesday evening, Musk expressed his willingness to participate in a cage match if the other person was also interested, adding a playful “lol” at the end. Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook and Meta Platforms (the parent company of Instagram), quickly replied, seemingly accepting Musk’s suggestion. Zuckerberg wrote, “Send me the location.”

In response to Zuckerberg’s location request on Wednesday, Musk suggested the Vegas Octagon as the venue for the proposed cage match.
