Thrill Seekers Rejoice: Karachi Unveils its ‘First-Ever’ Zipline Adventure

Mayor Murtaza Wahab opened the ‘first’ zipline in the city at Safari Park, marking a significant stride forward for Karachi’s recreational scene, as reported by ARY News.

In addition to inaugurating the zipline, the Mayor of Karachi personally experienced the exhilaration of the ride. He was accompanied to the inauguration event by Deputy Mayor Salman Murad. Speaking to the media during the event, Wahab mentioned that the zipline would be a new attraction for the people of Karachi.

Wahab also shared his vision to expand the city’s leisure areas. However, he admitted that several projects were behind schedule due to budgetary issues. Deputy Mayor Murad addressed the gathering and emphasized the ongoing development projects in each of Karachi’s seven districts. He announced the upcoming addition of horseback riding to Dino Safari Park. August of this year marked the official opening of Safari Park’s newly constructed dinosaur park by Mayor Karachi.

The project to install zip lines in the park is scheduled to go online shortly, according to the mayor. It is important to note that the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) announced last year the opening of a zipline at Bagh Ibne Qasim, located close to the Clifton shoreline in Karachi. The announcement was made by Barrister Murtaza Wahab, the current mayor of Karachi and the former city administrator. However, in Bagh Ibne Qasim, the zipline has not yet been installed.
