Multan Sultans trounced Quetta Gladiators by a large margin, confirming three of the four teams for the playoffs.
Multan Sultans, Lahore Qalandars, and Peshawar Zalmi have all secured playoff berths.
The points table has cleared up as the second round of PSL 7 approaches its conclusion. Multan Sultans are on top of the standings, having won eight of their nine matches. With one match remaining, Rizwan-led Multan Sultans have 16 points.
Lahore Qalandars are the only team in PSL 7 to defeat the renowned Multan Sultans, outclassing them in all three elements of the game. The Lahore Qalandars have won five of their seven matches, earning a total of ten points. Despite having qualified for the playoffs, the Lahore Qalandars are looking for more points in their final three games.
Peshawar Zalmi, who is now in third place, has also qualified for the playoffs. By narrowly defeating Islamabad United, the Yellow Storm have added two more critical points to their tally of 10 points in nine games. Peshawar Zalmi will meet Lahore Qalandars in one match.
They’ve won five games in a row thus far.
With three teams now secured for the playoffs, only one spot remains to be filled. Islamabad United, who are currently in fourth place with eight points, will want to win their next two games against Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars. Quetta Gladiators have a tough road ahead of them if they want to enter the playoffs, while Karachi Kings have already qualified for the next round.
The PSL 7 playoffs will take place at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on February 23, 24, and 25.
