Indian general confuses Shaan Shahid, Umair Jaswal as Pakistani troops who died fighting in Panjshir

LAHORE: As Indian media goes berserk amid spewing fake news against Pakistani security forces, a former general of the Indian army got ridiculed on microblogging platform as he referred to Pakistani superstar Shaan Shahid and rockstar Umair Jaswal as martyred Pakistani Army troops who lost their lives during fighting against Northern Alliance in now fallen Afghanistan’s Panjshir valley.

The nefarious attempt to malign Pakistani security forces got debunked when several Indian-backed Twitter handles including former Indian general and fireband defense analyst shared a tweet about the alleged killing of Pakistani soldiers in Afghanistan.

Social media trolls had their field day as a user shared a picture of Pakistani actors from Yalgar movie claiming they were his class fellows and got martyred in Afghanistan’s Panjshir against retaliation from the Northern Alliance.

The user that goes by the name of Disgruntled Doc added that the deceased was buried yesterday in Peshawar and Pakistan’s military media wing is trying to cover these casualties despite the troops fought gallantly and should be honored as such. He termed the act as injustice by Pakistan Army.

Thinking the user was being serious, another Indian army general retweeted the picture, asserting how Pakistan had “disowned its dead” and buried them at night to “avoid publicity”.

Retired major general of the Indian army Harsha Kakar took to Twitter and shared the picture by fuelling his best in maligning Pakistan Army. Without investigating the truth behind the picture, he shared in frenzy stating “Pakistan had disowned its dead and buried them at night to avoid publicity”.

The social media users go bananas on the tweet from the Indian general following which Pakistani superstar Shaan also took to his official handle to clap back at Indians. The Waar actor shared a snap of his character as well as the poster of the film. “Hello from the other side. Pakistan Zindabad”, he captioned the post.

Musician turned actor Umair Jaswal also took to his Twitter where he trolled the Indian general in a befitting manner.

The trolling didn’t end there as a number of Pakistani social media users took to Twitter to shame Indian army generals who along with fake Indian media are busy in spreading baseless and mischievous propaganda campaigns against Pakistan.
