Pakistani Physician Establishes World Record In Robotic Surgery For Women

Doctor Amer Raza, a surgeon from Pakistan, is in charge of the ground-breaking Da Vinci surgical robotic surgery for the treatment of endometriosis, which hinders pregnancy in women of all ages.

At London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, under the direction of Dr. Raza and a team of surgeons, the most sophisticated gynecology procedures have ever been performed in two days, breaking the previous record by performing 12 major operations in one day. Dr. Raza is a known expert in endometriosis, a condition in which women experience pelvic pain and period difficulties that have a significant negative influence on getting pregnant. He is currently regarded as one of the best endometriosis and complex pelvic disease surgeons in the world and serves as the director of the renowned International Centre of Endometriosis at Cromwell Hospital in London.

Dr. Amer Raza founded and serves as the director of the CCMIG Chelsea Centre for Minimal Access Surgery, which hosts laparoscopic courses on a national and international scale. He remarked that the National Health Service (NHS) has been under extreme strain due to lengthy waiting periods since Covid. Robotic surgery is now catching the interest of both professionals and patients, and the method will be used in hospitals all around the world. Dr. Raza created a care model that scheduled preoperative work, robotic surgery, and postoperative discharge. With robotic surgery, the team can complete the procedure more quickly than with a traditional laparoscopic method, allowing the team to perform more surgeries each day.

Dr. Amer Raza, a British Pakistani doctor, has introduced robotic technology in Pakistan to help women with endometriosis, which affects one in ten women in the UK. Robotic technology will be introduced in collaboration with medical professionals and hospitals, and Dr. Raza acknowledges his debt to Pakistan. Recent media coverage of Dr. Raza’s accomplishments has been hailed as a breakthrough for women. Endometriosis is caused by the endometrium leaving the uterus and forming adhesions, which causes pelvic pain. In more than half of instances, the disorders progress and result in extremely painful conditions such as bowel and ureteric problems.
