Pakistani passport drops further

The Henley Passport Index, which ranks all of the world’s passports based on the number of destinations their holders can access without a previous visa, has once again classified the Pakistani passport as the fourth worst for international travel.

Pakistani passport holders have visa-free access to the same number of countries in the first quarter of 2022 as in the second quarter, but the green passport was rated 108th at the time, suggesting the green passport has lost one spot on the list this quarter.

The Pakistani passport continues to outperform Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan on the Henley Passport Index for Q2 2022, as it has for some years. Yemen, Somalia, Palestine, Nepal, North Korea, and Libya have all been put higher on the list than Pakistan.

On the other hand, Japan and Singapore have reclaimed the top rank on the Henley Passport Index, with their citizens having visa-free access to 192 countries.

South Korea and Germany are tied for second rank with Japan and Singapore, as their passport holders have visa-free entry to 190 countries.
